The M16 is the iconic American rifle of the Vietnam War and the natural backbone of US infantry loadouts in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. Lightweight and capable of automatic fire, it gives the standard rifleman flexibility across the ranges the game’s jungle, paddy and urban maps throw at you.
As an all-rounder it rewards good fundamentals: controlled bursts at distance, fuller automatic fire when a fight collapses to close range in the undergrowth. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam’s weapons were recreated with help from the UK’s Royal Armouries Museum, which scanned and recorded era-accurate firearms, so expect handling and sound built from the real thing.
