PT-76

Communist Amphibious Tank

The PT-76 in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam — the North Vietnamese amphibious light tank. Mobile armour that can cross the water other tanks can't. Role and tactics.

Armour that swims.

The PT-76 was the North Vietnamese amphibious light tank of the era and the natural communist armour pick for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. Its signature trait is amphibious mobility — it can swim water obstacles that would stop a heavier tank, fitting the river-and-delta maps and the NVA’s emphasis on manoeuvre.

It’s not built to slug it out with the American M48. The PT-76 wins by being where the enemy doesn’t expect armour — crossing a river to flank, supporting an NVA push, then pulling back before heavier guns answer. Used as an ambush and manoeuvre asset, its mobility outweighs its thin armour.

The exact communist vehicle roster is still being detailed, so this entry is expected until launch.
