Hell Let Loose: Vietnam ships with six maps, with more planned to follow. They span the war’s most distinctive terrain — dense jungle, flooded rice paddies, beaches, highland ridges and river deltas — and draw on real operations. This guide covers what’s confirmed and what we expect.

Confirmed inspirations

The developers have specifically named real operations as inspiration:

  • Operation Starlite — a coastal assault map of beaches and village treelines, based on the 1965 battle.
  • Operation Piranha — a coastal sweep across rice paddies and fishing hamlets.

Reading any map

Whatever the terrain, the Hell Let Loose fundamentals apply:

  • Identify the open ground you must cross — and the cover that overlooks it.
  • Find the strongpoints (villages, dikes, ridges, buildings) that anchor the objectives.
  • Plan your mobilityhelicopters and tunnels change which routes matter.
  • Control the chokepoints — crossings and trails are where matches are decided.

The full map list is still rolling out, so we mark theatres confirmed, expected or rumored and update as the developers reveal more. Browse them all in the maps codex.
